How will my games get determined?
For this listing, you would offer to purchase a certain number of games and tickets from the Season Ticket Member. The actual games and tickets you would get would be determined at a later date using the the following method:
In Person Draft
New partner will participate in an In Person Draft. Draft will be held at a time and date agreeable to the majority of partners. If a partner cannot attend a date, efforts shall be made to ensure partners picks are fairly selected (for example, ability to call in selection, or the option to send another person to make picks). Draft picks will be based on the number of games each partner is purchasing. Draft Order will be set fairly giving all partners a pick in the first round and the remaining picks will be fairly determined based on the proportion of games owned by each partner. The Draft Order shall NOT unfairly benefit or harm any partner(s). All games and tickets shall be included in the draft.

Hi - Thanks for the update. I am still interested. What is the cost for the share? What will you do if you don’t find anyone by this weekend? To be transparent, I am concerned about picking last/fourth and not getting the full quarter value of tickets that I would pay for ....
-
I would continue as I have for almost 20 years and draft my tickets for my use and those requested by friends. I would agree to letting you pay face value for tickets picked by you in the draft Sunday, if you chose to do so, but it would be for the entire draft until all tickets are gone, which would include games you might not necessarily want. 4 seats for all 20 games. Please let me know if this is agreeable to you.

Hi Kathy - I guess I was assuming that being four and last to pick means that there would be slim to none chance that Opening Day would still be available. Opening Day is a big reason why we do shares as we can get tickets at a fair price for other games.
-
Our draft day is this Sunday, the 24th.
-
Hi Kathy - Thanks for reaching out. We are still interested but not ready to make a decision yet. It’s a bummer that tickets to Opening Day as not part of our share package so are bummed that we won’t get tickets this year. Feel free to reach out when your partners decide on when to do the draft. Thanks!

Didn’t realize Opening Day not included ??. Haven’t heard about draft day yet, will let you know.

Hi Kathy - Thanks for the quick response. To clarify, when you say postseason tickets are not included, do you mean that I as a partner do not get any rights to any playoff tickets as part of my membership? I get that there are no playoff tickets available until there is a possibility that the Giants have a potential to make it in the playoff and it is a separate transaction (I have been in a share group for many years but the group dissolved this year). I want to make sure I still get dibs on playoff tickets at face value as part of taking over your position in the group.

Yes, as long as you paid 1/4 of the cost of the payoff package, you would be entitled to a minimum of 2 seats at one of the first 2 games. By the way, if this is paid and the play offs don't occur - the funds are deducted from next years season cost. Since it's always been the 4 of us, I'm sure you could work out something with the other 3, if you didn't want to continue next year. Again, i hope I've made this clear.
-
Hi Kathy - Are postseason tickets included if the team makes it (being optimistic!) and how does that typically work? Do the members pay for tickets they use or are the cost for all used tickets also divided evenly across the four members? I have seen it done both ways for ticket shares.
-
I thought I had answered this - sorry. Post season tickets are NOT included. If it looks possible, we are billed as a group. The cost is divided 4 ways. Generally 2 owners go to the first game, 2 go to the second game. If more games, it is discussed. Who goes to which game is discussed and generally hasn't been a problem deciding. Please let me know if this answers your question.

Hi Kathy - Thanks for the detailed response. Do you know which spot you will be in for this year’s draft and also how are playoff tickets handled (yes, being optimistic!). Thanks!
-
I heard from Dan and I do drop to the 4th spot. I/you will get pick #4 & 5, then # 12 & 13, then 20, 21, etc. there are 82 games I believe.
-
Hi. I may be interested in your season tickets. Can you please provide more details on the draft and how does pricing work? Thanks!
-
Hi Jenni, the 4 people who own the 4 seats get together (generally in Walnut Creek) on an afternoon or evening a draft for the tickets. Every year we change who starts, then each person in turn selects a game. Then the 4th person starts and the order reverses. This continues till all games are taken. This can be done via phone. The cost of the entire season is divided by 4. We do not base it on the cost of the games you actually get. I hope this answers your questions. Please let me know if you have any other questions.
